Contents of the Event

>> Qualification

1. Master Thesis Group

  • Graduates of the 95th or 96th academic year (including those with an EMBA degree) in Taiwan's management-related colleges and institutes, such as graduate institute of business administration, international business, finance, risk and insurance management, information management, healthcare administration, etc.
  • One thesis can only be submitted in the competition once and only one category is allowed.

2. Research Thesis Group

(1) Entrants must meet all the following
¡@¡@ qualifications:

  • Graduate students of Taiwan's management-related colleges and institutes.
  • The paper submitted had already been published by print or internet in national or international academic journals during 2007.
  • The entrant should be the author or one of the authors. If the paper is a collaborative work, the entrant should obtain an agreement signed by other authors to join the competition.

(2) One article can only be submitted in the
¡@¡@ competition once and only one category is
¡@¡@ allowed.

(3) The academic journals mentioned above should
¡@¡@ satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • Journals in the SSCI - Social Science Citation Index.
  • Journals in the SCI - Science Citation Index.
  • Journals have been awarded as an outstanding academic journal from the National Science Council.
  • Academic journals published by management-related associations of all specialized fields.

>> Categories of Submission

  • General Management: including strategic management, industrial and economic management and international business management, etc.
  • Marketing Management
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management and Organization Theory
  • Operational, Research and Development, and Technology Management
  • Non-Profit Organization Management: public administration, hospital management, military, education, and physical education, etc.
  • Information Management
  • Risk and Insurance Management

>> Serial Activities

  • Winners will be selected through public symposium presentation.
  • Guest speech:
    Inviting government officials (such as Minister of Education, Minister of Economic Affairs, etc.) or business celebrities to make an opening speech in the awards ceremony.
  • Awards ceremony:
    Awards ceremony will be held publicly to commend the winners. During the ceremony, winning and honorable mentioned authors, their family members, theses directors, and all the judges will be invited to attend. This would also be a great opportunity for the industry to recruit suitable talents.
  • One who applies the contest and submits required documents in time will get a CD containing abridged theses of previous year's entrants. Beside, the submitter who grants the publication permission for the reproduction of part or all of his/her thesis to the Chinese Management Association will get the CD of the abstracted theses this year. All CDs mentioned above will be delivered after the awards ceremony.
