Submission of Application and Required Documents

Incomplete application form or without the following documents will not be accepted.

1. Master thesis group

• 1 copy of the “Application Form” signed by the applicant, director(professor) and dean(chairman) of the department(institute).
• 7 copies of one-page thesis abstract with anonymity.
• 7 copies of 15-page abridged thesis with anonymity.

2. Research thesis group

• 1 copy of the “Application Form” signed by the applicant.
• 1 copy of the “Copyright Declaration Form” signed by the applicant: Download the “Copyright Declaration Form".
• 1 copy of the “Authorship Agreement” signed by all co-authors: If the paper is a collaborative one, the applicant should obtain the agreement form signed by all other authors to enter competition. Download the “Authorship Agreement” form.
• Documents of publication: 1 copy of the journal's cover and contents on which the submitted paper is published.
• 7 copies of the “Contribution to Academia”: Download the “Contribution to Academia” form.
• 7 copies of the paper(article).

All applicants of “Master Thesis Group” must abide by the following rules:

1. Anonymity

The abridged thesis and its abstract should be anonymous, that means, all information about the applicant's name, director, department, college and school shouldn't be mentioned in the thesis submitted. Any entrant who violates this rule will be disqualified from the competition.

2. Page limit

One-page thesis abstract and 15-page abridged thesis should be bound together into 7 single pieces. The maximum page limit is 16 (15 for abridged thesis and 1 for its abstract). If any thesis go over the page limit, the exceeding part will be removed and wouldn't be reviewed.

3. Example of the thesis format

• Thesis abstract (one-page)

Title of thesis: ○○○○○○○○○○○○○ 　Abstract 　　　××××××××××××××××

• Abridged thesis (15-page)

Research motivation, research design, data analysis, conclusion and suggestion, references, appendixes, etc. can be all included in the contents. The thesis submitted should be arranged in the following order of presentation: title of the abridged thesis, main article, references and appendixes.

Title of thesis: ○○○○○○○○○○○○○ 　　　××××××××××××××××

4. Description of the thesis file

• Abridged thesis and its abstract should be typed on A4-sized sheet, and put together into one file.
• Please set the word size of title to 18 and main article to 12. Convert your “original format” thesis file into a pdf-type document and upload the pdf-type thesis file into the application website. Other page settings not mentioned above could be arranged by the applicant's need.
